Harpeth Futbol Club was formed in 2000 through the merger of Nashville's two strongest select soccer organizations - the original HFC and the Music City Sting Soccer Club. A year later HFC welcomed 5 teams from the Green Hills Groove Soccer Club. HFC now fields teams for boys and girls in most age groups.

HFC teams are select teams. Players are competitively chosen in tryouts that are typically held each May and June. Teams are chosen new each year and stay together for one calendar year. The commitment of time is reasonable and age-appropriate, but a certain level of commitment is expected of both the players and parents.

For players who excel in recreational play and are ready for the challenge of stronger competition and the benefit of added instruction and skill-building, trying out for a select team is the natural next step.

But which select team? We've all heard about high-intensity programs that too often leave kids burned-out on soccer. Harpeth Futbol Club was formed by soccer parents who want to make sure that doesn't happen.

HFC teams are coached by experienced and licensed coaches. HFC provides trainers, directed by Sterling Nabours, HFC Director of Coaching, to assist with instruction.

HFC offers young players the opportunity to improve their individual skills, develop as team players and continue to enjoy the game. And it's been our experience that when those three conditions are met, teams also tend to be successful in competition.
